Top 10 SEO Secrets To Get Blog Posts Indexed By Google Quickly

Whenever you create a new website or blog for your business, the first thing you probably want to happen is have people find it. And, of course, one of the ways you hope they will find it is through search. But typically, you have to wait around for the Googlebot to crawl your website and add it (or your newest content) to the Google index.

So the question is: how do you ensure this happens as quickly as possible? Here are the basics of how website content is crawled and indexed, plus some great ways to get the Googlebot to your website or blog to index your content sooner rather than later.

Top 10 SEO Secrets To Get Blog Posts Indexed By Google Quickly, Submit Website To Google.

Let’s get started:

You can try the following instructions with any new domain you have purchased, or with any site which you created in the past but which is not getting traffic from search engines.

The first step is to determine whether or not your site is indexed in Google or any other search engines. Go to Google.com and type site:domain.com  (Replace “domain.com” with your actual domain name, (example: seotechtricks.com), and check to see whether the site is indexed or not.

If there are no results, it’s time to follow the steps below and get your site into Google. Here is a screenshot for my query:

What is indexing of a website?

Many of you may not be aware of the meaning of the term indexing. Indexing in SEO refers to search engines keeping a record of your web pages. When working on indexing of our site, we should target all major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc).

Usually when a search engine bot comes onto your site, it starts crawling and, based on “index” and “noindex” meta tags, it adds pages with index tags in that search engine. This is how you control what pages from your website should be found in the various search engines.

Apart from onpage SEO optimization like meta tags, meta keywords, meta descriptions and on-site SEO (noindex, nofollow), I used robots.txt to put the websites into search engines in just a few hours. Robots.txt refers to a standard used by websites to communicate with web crawlers and other web robots.

Before you try to index a new website, make sure you have your content prepared, because you don’t want Google bots to come and crawl your empty homepage!

Make sure you do all of the basic onsite SEO work mentioned above first, and then work on the following steps to get your site indexed fast.

Guide To Indexing A Website In Google Within A Few Hours:

This strategy should work with all websites, as we will be using external sites to send crawlers to our site. The results also depend on how fast Google updates the newly indexed pages.

Note that if you are doing this work for a client, you may wish to research the index status in all countries to check for data replication delays.

1. Submission To Blog Networks -

Top 10 SEO Secrets To Get Blog Posts Indexed By Google Quickly, IndiBlogger.

We talk about blog directories and blog networks as though they were things of the past, but in fact even today networks and directories work. As in the past, however, you should not submit your blog to every blog network or directory. Instead, submit your blog only to selected blog networks and directories, making sure to avoid link exchange directories!

To begin:

1. Blogcatalog:

This is one of my favorites because this blog network drives lots of traffic and always links back to my blog.

2. Indiblogger:

IndiBlogger has become an umbrella entity that brings together the large number of Indian bloggers scattered all over India and abroad. Language is not a barrier at IndiBlogger. The USP of the community comes out beautifully in their statement - "Indians by birth. Bloggers by choice."

2. Create A Sitemap -

A sitemap is an XML document on your website’s server that basically lists each page on your website. It tells search engines when new pages have been added and how often to check back for changes on specific pages. For example, you might want a search engine to come back and check your homepage daily for new products, news items, and other new content. If your website is built on WordPress, you can install the Google XML Sitemaps plugin and have it automatically create and update your sitemap for you as well as submit it to search engines. You can also use tools such as the XML Sitemaps Generator.

3. Submit Sitemap To Google Webmaster Tools -

The first place you should take your sitemap for a new website is Google Webmaster Tools. If you don’t already have one, simply create a free Google Account, then sign up for Webmaster Tools. Add your new site to Webmaster Tools, then go to Optimization > Sitemaps and add the link to your website’s sitemap to Webmaster Tools to notify Google about it and the pages you have already published. For extra credit, create an account with Bing and submit your sitemap to them via their Webmaster Tools.

4. Commenting dofollow/Comment Luv -

Since one of the sites in my example was related to a paid job and it had to be completed within a given time-frame, I added almost 30+ comments for both sites on the CommentLuv blog.

I did not check for dofollow or nofollow attributes, but I did comment on popular, high traffic blogs. This confirmed that search engine bots will follow the comment links and will land on my blog, and that is exactly what happened.

Those who have money can buy the CommentLuv Premium and those who can’t afford to buy the premium version (like me) can follow the steps given below!!

That’s it you have installed main plugins which are included in CommentLuv Premium. Now you can enjoy the features of CommentLuv Premium For Free!!!

Some of you may not be aware of websites which keep stats of domains or show the price and value of any domain. This is a nice way to get your site indexed, however submitting to multiple stat sites is not easy, so we want to use free tools like IMT website submitter. With this tool, all you need to do is to add the link and anchor text, and IMT submitter will submit your site to sites like who.is, “website stats” and other such sites.

6. Pay Attention To Some HTML Elements That Affect SEO -

OK, with the title aside (an element that I find incredibly important), let’s take a look at some other important factors for SEO.

I personally don’t like shoehorning other keywords into the copy. If I stumbled across some during the title research phase that would work well for sub headings, then that’s one thing. To stress over getting a bunch of keywords and phrases in the content, I don’t bother with that for blog posts.

I think that the keywords happen naturally with the writing. It’s natural to mention related words while you are writing, isn’t it?

But here is what I do pay attention to:

  • Use a version of your main keyphrase in the opening or introduction paragraph. It may also make sense in some cases to use the exact phrase in a sub heading or paragraph deeper within the article.
  • Separate sections of the article with H2 (or perhaps H3) heading tags.
  • Use strong and emphasis (em) tags throughout if it makes sense to.
  • Include an image within the content. The filename and alt text of the image are important.
  • Don’t be afraid to include links within the article. Links to external high authority sites, more information links, internal links, etc.

7. Setup Your RSS with Feedburner -

Feedburner is Google’s own RSS management tool. Sign up or in to your Google account and submit your feed with Feedburner by copying your blog’s URL or RSS feed URL into the “Burn a feed” field. In addition to your sitemap, this will also notify Google of your new blog and each time that your blog is updated with a new post.

8. Make The Content Scannable With Info Packed Headlines -

Many people like to just scan an article rather than read it all the way through. This might be enough for them to decide if they want to share the content or save it to read later. Also, they just may get enough from the headlines to know they don’t need to read that particular section.

Having really good headlines makes the scanning process simple. The headlines stand out. They should define the next block of content but still provide value on their own. Don’t be afraid to use lengthy headlines. They don’t always have to be short and sweet. Some people disagree with me here but I might even use a full sentence or two in a headline.

Also, providing lots of whitespace or breaking up an article with other elements like images and videos helps make the “job” of reading seem less daunting. People can read lots of words fast, more than most probably realize.

The problem is looking at a big wall or sea of text and feeling a little anxiety about it. If it’s all broken up nicely, it makes for a better, smoother read, and more likely for the person to stick around to consume it.

Even one, two or there sentences in a paragraph works.

But this of course makes it even more important to separate chunks of content with great sub headings.

9. Ping services -

Ping services offer another effective way to notify search engines of your existence. Pingomatic is one such tool which you can use to notify multiple search engines at once, and another you can try is Pingler. Wordpress does have a default feature to ping services, but giving one of these other options a shot can’t hurt.

10. Offer Lots Of Value, Lots Of Content For List Posts, And Mention Others To Increase The Possibility Of Shares, Likes, And Saves -

This goes without saying by now. You need to provide the utmost value in every piece of content that you deliver.

Come at it like it’s your first day on the job and you want to impress and over deliver. Always overdeliver.

I set myself up with the task of finding 50 big-wheel or impactful raw food Facebook pages. Why? Because people will want to save it for later and share such a wonderful resource.

At the same time I am mentioning (and linking to) others which would in turn might get them to link back or share the content.

The folks that you mention can get alerted in various ways including:

  • Pingbacks and trackbacks – when linking from WordPress to WordPress for example.
  • Google Alerts – anytime a name or phrase is found in Google SERPS a person can be alerted by email or other means.
  • Traffic monitoring – a person may see the referral traffic in their logs or analytics from your content.
  • @ mentions in Tweets – I use Paper.li to curate content and the tool auto-tweets a link to the current edition and @ mentions the featured content providers
